FAQs
My business is (or will be) based in Northumberland/County Durham/Tyne and Wear/Tees Valley, am I eligible?
We work with businesses across all twelve local authorities of North East England. Eligibility criteria applies to some support and we can help you check. If you’re unsure about your eligibility, please contact us.
Is there really no cost to my business?
If you’re based in the area outlined above, the majority of our support is fully-funded meaning there is no cost to you or your business for this support. You will, however, be expected to invest your own time and effort if you’re to benefit from the help available and to let us know what effect the support has had on your business.
Who funds our support?
Funding comes from a number of different bodies to provide specialised programmes. In each case, the funders’ logo(s) will appear on the materials we provide to acknowledge the support they are providing.
What about De Minimis and State Aid regulation?
Our support is publicly-funded and State Aid rules apply. Should you receive support, your advisor will explain the State Aid considerations. We operate under both the De Minimis scheme and the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER), depending on the service provided. For a comprehensive guide to State Aid, please see the following gov.uk page: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/state-aid.
